Greetings,

I've been having issues with incorrectly subdivided properties resulting in real estate tax balances getting "stuck" on the old BRT/OPA Account Number's account which then results in liens and other complications with the now subdivided property. For example: 123123123 for 123 test st is sold in 2014 and is split into three addresses. The 2015 taxes remain (erroneously) attached to the account 123123123 (even though the OPA has removed this account). The 2016 RE Taxes end up correctly associated with the new accounts.

I've been trying to find and resolve these issues, however, finding the old BRT numbers has proven difficult. Is there a database that might show me the pre-subdivided address/BRT number?

Thanks.

I have been having these same exact issues -- even more so, the online application called Parcel Explorer has current parcel IDs but also provides the parcel IDs that are no longer inactive because of being subdivided. However, the parcel IDs don't correspond with any of the BRT/OPA account numbers. Hence, it is impossible to find any of parcel property assessment values for specific parcels.

Anyone have some good ideas?
