Hi guys,

I haven't really got much time as I am currently working on a uni
project using Augmented Reality on mobile devices at the moment, but
I saw this group and was interested to follow the discussions.

I've had a little free time so I've quickly put together a page which
places all of the buses in Augemented Reality using a Channel in the
iphone and android application Junaio. It's still pending approval so
will not be available for a few hours, if you have Junaio search for
the channel 'GMPTE Buses' (i'm at work at the moment so i will post a
screen shot asap)

You can get the application from the app store or from http://www.junaio.com.

I was a little short on time to do this so for now I have piggybacked
the data from the address below for proof of concept. Apologies in
advance.

However, it would be great if i could use this data myself to develop
it further.

Couldn't really wait to get a screenshot actually.
This uses the iphone/android digital compass to determine the
direction the mobile is facing.

First one is displaying all of the busses with no limit on the
distance from the user.

Second one shows the distance limited to 1000m away:

Shame about the rain :(
Paul.

Interesting stuff. Feel free to use the data I'm generating, I
deliberately tried to make it easy to remix like you have. :) If you
haven't seen it already, http://xn--gce.com/buses/README.html might be
useful.

Cheers,
Ben

Wow just installed it and had a go. Very impressed, even though I was
disappointed that only one bus was near me :(
