Hi

I've just tried using the CIF files in Accession software but failed
miserably (so have resorted to using NPTDR data from Oct 09) - reason
for failure is that the CIF files contain no georeferences (x or y
coords).

From memory, in the past (I used to work at the PTE) there would be a
seperate geo reference file detailing for each bus stop the
coordinates for it, and details for that stop (street/town/etc). This
seems to be missing from the download, or am I missing something
(wouldnt be the first time!)??

Thanks
Keith

Hi Keith,

You would need to download the NaPTAN dataset from the data.gov.uk site. The stop identifiers in the CIF correspond to the Lat/long in the NaPTAN

Hi Julian. Thanks for the reponse! I will see how (if) I can merge the
two together in Accession...

I hope you weren't bundled into the Transit (sorry!).

Cheers,
Keith

You can now download NaPTAN from opendata.gov.uk This will give the
coordinates.

http://travelinedata.org.uk/naptan.htm

It is only updated every 3 months though so one or two points might be
missing.
