Hello mySociety-followers,

Just two things today:

1. We've launched a mini-site called Brief Encounters, to help us learn some lessons required before we can launch FixMyTransport. Please help us by using the site to share an anecdote or story about something that happened to you on a bus, tram, tube or train.

2. We've posted a new job advert. If you know anyone who loves maps, and who is a born salesperson, please do let them know about it:

all the best,

Tom Steinberg

mySociety

there is a way to get from the stop identifiers (used in the GMPTE data) to the Brief Encounters stop/route IDs (ones from NAPTAN/similar) and so it should be possible for the GMPTE apps to easily push experiences up to brief encounters should you so choose.

Random question; if another authority was to open up their bus data in the same format, how long would it take for the manchester sites to incorporate it... ?

cheers
Sam
