International Open Data Day happening in 3 cities in Kenya

Open Data Day is back

After a very successful Open Data Day 2014, Kenya is once again gearing up for 2015 edition of the International Open Data Day. A gathering of citizens in cities around the world to develop applications, liberate data, create visualisations, publish analyses using open public data to show support for and encourage the adoption of data policies by the world’s local, regional and national governments.

Open Institute is excited to be hosting once again the Kenya’s edition of Open Data Day in an event taking place simultaneously in 3 cities: Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa.

All of this would not be possible without the kind support of our partners, the ICTAuthority and Angani as well as our fantastic set of community organisers that have been working hard to set everything in motion in all three cities:

Nairobi – iHub

Mombasa – Swahilibox

Kisumu – Lake Hub

Here are things you can do right now to make Open Data Day awesome:

• Submit your ideas for projects you want to work on or topics you want to talk about or hear more off
