Chapter 4- undistorted

Hi,

Why are the images undistorted first and then 
- at _find_camera_matrices_rt() -  calculating normalized image coordinates?
I thought it should be an either-or principle? 
Did I get that wrong?

Also with distorted images the result of findfundamentalMat would be the essential matrix wouldn't it?
