Greetings OpenCV Team,

I am Meghana, 19 year old in 3rd year majoring in CompSci. I am looking forward to contribute to OpenCV projects for this year. I have worked closely with Computer Vision, Machine Learning and GenAI.

I have had the experience of working at 3 companies as an AI Intern where I was mainly assigned with computer vision tasks. I have worked with YOLOV5, OpenCV, Keras, Pytorch, Tensorflow and Roboflow as well as in building real time computer vision projects on these frameworks and tools. While working on these projects, I was curious to understand some of these frameworks in depth including OpenCV and after doing a deep dive in this, I developed the interest to contribute to it.

I am in the Core Committee of the Open Source Community of my college where I had the company of like minded individuals. I was always mesmerized by the world of open source, it's selflessness towards technology and what it has to offer.

I am eager to contribute to OpenCV and hope it appears as org towards GSOC'25 :)

Thank you. Below are my attached github and linkedin handles.

Hi Meghana, soo sorry for the late reply ..I hope u understand

Thank you for reaching out and for your enthusiastic interest in
contributing to the OpenCV projects. i was truly impressed by your
extensive background in computer vision and AI, as well as your
hands-on experience with tools like YOLOv5, Keras, PyTorch, and
TensorFlow. It’s inspiring to see a 3rd-year student already making
impactful contributions through internships and leading initiatives at
your college’s open-source community.

To get started, I recommend exploring our official GitHub repositories
and reviewing our contribution guidelines, which detail our coding
standards and the process for submitting issues and pull requests.
Additionally, keep an eye on our organization page for any updates
regarding GSOC’25 projects, as we continually work on exciting
initiatives where your expertise could make a difference.

We encourage you to start by tackling smaller issues or bug fixes to
familiarize yourself with our codebase and development practices. Our
community forums and chat channels are also great resources where you
can ask questions and collaborate with other contributors...

for any help ping me in Linkedln
