GSoC 2026 Mentorship

Greetings Sir, 

I am Prapti Patra, a 2nd year student at BITS Pilani, Pilani campus. I want to participate in GSoC 2026, I would like to start contributing here onwards. I am well versed in Python and C++. To share a little bit about myself, I have dabbled quite a lot in DSA, I am currently 1590 rated (8 contests). I am working on 2 research papers under my professors, 1 of my works is implementation-based regarding Event-Forecasting. It is better analysis of any dataset after applying heuristics (originally developed by us) such that it gives accurate prediction results. My second work is regarding the Hippocampal-cortex region of the brain and how we can attempt to recreate its functions with 2 neural networks. I am pretty new to open source and have started with learning MERN stack. If you could please share any guidance or projects that I can contribute to, it would be extremely helpful.
