GSoC 2024: Contributor Application

Hello! I am Tony Yu. I am writing this letter to express my great interest in the idea of 3D Object Capture with SplaTAM.

I am an undergraduate student from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications(China). I will graduate by the end of this June. My undergraduate capstone project is Algorithm Research on 3D Model Generation based on Diffusion Model. I want to learn more about AI and CV and make an effort to open-source community. GSoC is a great platform to prepare me for a open source workers and allow me to learn more about advanced technology. I now have more time to improve myself. I am willing to enhance my ability of programming and I want to learn more and more!

I am ready to learn more about CV. I am proficient in Linux, C and Python and I have some learning experience about deep learning. I find programing is very interesting and I once uploaded one of my program design task of school cource to github: https://github.com/AbnerTAP/Prog_Design_2021 .

I am interested in the idea 2 3D Object Capture with SplaTAM most, but I am also interested in working on idea 1:Neural 3D Capture and Rendering, 7:IDEA: Quantized models for OpenCV Model Zoo, 11:Animated images and other functionality for imgcodecs
