Dear Sir/Madam,

I’m Hashmalika Chalse, a B.Tech Electrical Engineering student at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar NIT Jalandhar, interested in contributing to open-source projects as part of GSoC 2026.

I have experience with Python, Machine Learning, OpenCV, Flask/FastAPI, React, Node.js, and MongoDB/MySQL. I’ve built projects such as an ML-based Food Health Predictor, an LLM-powered insurance policy processing system using FAISS, and a full-stack nutrition & fitness tracker with barcode scanning.

I admire the impact of open-source communities and would appreciate guidance on:

  • Beginner-friendly issues to start contributing

  • Skills to strengthen for GSoC-level contributions

  • Potential project ideas for GSoC 2026

I’m eager to contribute early, learn from mentors, and grow as a developer.

Warm regards,
Hashmalika Chalse
