You may now propose projects, please prioritize the list on our ideas page:

For how to contribute code plus tests, plus documentation plus demo video, see:

We hope for a good productive summer or longer if interested!

Dear OpenCV Team,

I hope you're doing well.

I am Shahidul Islam, an undergraduate student in Textile Engineering with experience in Python, OpenCV, and machine learning. I am interested in participating in GSoC and contributing to OpenCV, particularly in calibration and image processing tasks.

I have reviewed some open issues related to undistortPoints() and convex intersection calculations and would love to contribute. Could you guide me on the best way to get started? Should I comment on GitHub expressing my interest in working on a specific issue?

I appreciate your guidance and look forward to your suggestions

Best regards
Shahidul Islam

Is there a template for writing a successful proposal?
What things should we include?

Dear OpenCV GSoC Team,

My name is Jeevan Partap, and I am very interested in contributing to OpenCV through Google Summer of Code 2025. With experience in Python, C++, AI, deep learning, and computer vision, I am particularly excited about projects that focus on robotics and the beneficial uses of computer vision in society. I have reviewed the contributor guidelines and would love your guidance on how I can best get started and prepare my proposal.

Best regards,
Jeevan Partap
