GSOC 2024 | Neural Rendering

Dear OpenCV GSoC team,

       

          My name is Ahmed Aboelela. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. I expect to graduate by the end of next September. I am already in the final phase of my thesis. The topic of my thesis is pose optimization for continuous learning NeRF. During my thesis, I worked on extending Instant-NGP and CLNeRF to be able to perform joint pose optimization on three datasets: LLFF, Tanks & Temples, and WAT datasets. In addition to that, I worked with bundle adjustment in order to fuse multiple paths generated by ORB-SLAM. I also have experience in mobile and web development. I have completed an internship where I worked with native Android and iOS, and I have been working for the past two years in a student job using Flutter, Node.js, and MongoDB. I am proficient in C++ and Python. I am interested in working on any of the following three projects:

1. Neural 3D Capture and Rendering
   
2. 3D Object Capture with SplaTAM
   
3. 3D Radiance Toolbox
