Hello, respected mentors!

My name is Nishant, and I am a 2nd-year Undergrad from the Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi.

While browsing through the list of Ideas, I found the idea of making a helper class in python to make inferences on Videos, to be quite interesting and relatable.

I have previously worked on Deep Learning, Visual Servoing, and Human-computer interactions, learning and experimenting by making projects along the way. Some of them include a Hand Gesture recognition system(https://github.com/nishantkr18/Dynamic-Gesture-recognition-system), a MathHelper for recognizing and solving any algebraic or calculus equations(https://github.com/nishantkr18/MathHelper-Mosaic2k19-R1) and won some supervised learning competitions on Computer Vision. For most of them, I have used OpenCV along with other deep learning frameworks like TF and PyTorch, and I had a great experience using OpenCV, due to its amazing functionalities and ease of usage. OpenCV has made my life much easier by simplifying complex tasks. This motivates me to give back to the organization by contributing in the slightest way possible.

I am currently working on the idea of making a helper class in python to make inferences on Video. Please inform me if there is anything else apart from what is mentioned on the idea list page, that I need to know regarding the idea.

Hi Nishant,
Apologies for the delayed response. I am mentoring this proposal so feel free to ask me questions. Nothing else is needed, however your ideas for improving OpenCV are welcome.

Looking forward to reviewing your proposal.

Regards,
Justin
