This week:
Disk reservation Framework is in process- Will make it possible for applications to allocate disks. i.e. detect SSDs and use them differently.
PowerDNS is in and will work with bind as well.
HostNames: You can now name a name for each interface. This causes some changes to the Network configurations. You can now pick a root name which all of the interfaces will derive their names from
Currently working on:
- SSL for access between the Admin node and the DNS server.
- Ceph - Ready for playing, more changes coming. Info here: https://github.com/opencrowbar/ceph/blob/develop/README.md
- Docker Machine- Ready for playing soon. Would LOVE some mileage on this before it gets submitted to Docker. We are pulling it into a repo for access soon.
Discussion about Alias- Now have the ability to rename nodes. This makes Alias somewhat redundant. The decision is to remove Alias field from the product. If anyone has an issue w this please reply.
Discussion about NodeRole Inheritance- At this point deployments are just a container for devices that are all part of a single workload. Moving devices between deployments will not affect the noderoles attached to the nodes.
