Hello,

I am currently in the process of building a server running Ubuntu 18.04 using Microsoft Azure. I am trying to install OpenCPU so I can run Rstudio, but after running the command sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:opencpu/opencpu-2.2 I get the following output:

Hit:1 http://azure.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic InRelease

Get:2 http://azure.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-updates InRelease [88.7 kB]

Get:3 http://azure.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-backports InRelease [74.6 kB]

E: The repository 'http://ppa.launchpad.net/opencpu/jq/ubuntu bionic Release' does not have a Release file.

N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.

N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

I was wondering if you knew what solutions there might be to obtaining a ppa that works for Ubuntu 18.04? I think the issue is with the http://ppa.launchpad.net/opencpu/jq/ubuntu repository, since I saw the ppa isn't available for the most recent versions of Ubuntu.

I would greatly appreciate any way you might be able to help.

Best,

Stevie

It looks like you have added a lot of ppa repositories unrelated to
opencpu some may not be broken. You should manually edit
/etc/apt/sources.list in a text editor and remove the lines with
broken repositories.
