Hello, everybody.

I downloaded a Cellml file from the site that works very well in OpenCOR. Only when I edit the file and want to save, OpenCOR refuses and makes me understand that there is an error on a line that already existed. I put the name of this file here for reference.

Can someone please explain me what is going on? I'm new to using OpenCOR.

File name: Smith_chase_noke_shaw_wake_2004.tar.gz.tar

Error occur at the line 254

Hi Rene,

On line 254 that model has an equation that doesn't conform to the CellML Text format that OpenCOR uses in the "CellML Text" view (https://opencor.ws/user/plugins/editing/cellmlTextView.html#plugins-editing-cellmltextview). You can see this if you try to validate (Tools -> Validate) the model while in the CellML Text view, which is the default in OpenCOR. In order to save the file, OpenCOR will first need to convert the CellML Text format back to CellML XML, which is where it hits this problem and so won't be able to save any changes.

This particular model is valid CellML, but due to that equation you won't be able to use the CellML Text view to edit and save the model. If you use the Raw CellML view you will be able to edit and save the model, but you will need to work with the CellML XML format directly. An alternative would be to comment out that equation or look to rearrange the equation such that it conforms to the CellML Text format that OpenCOR uses.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
David.
