I've come to a stand-still when building opencog in the Ubuntu 14.04 Trust Tahr distribution.

Ive shown here the directory under which I've installed octool.

I'm having trouble with the build command, ./octool -b

here is what I get:
bryan@quantumdot:~/opencog$ ls
build  octool
bryan@quantumdot:~/opencog$ ./octool -b
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git
[octool] Exiting octool as git worktree is not detected run inside a git worktree
bryan@quantumdot:~/opencog$ cmake ..
CMake Error: The source directory "/home/bryan" does not appear to contain CMakeLists.txt.

bryan@quantumdot:~/opencog$ cd /usr/local/include/opencog
bryan@quantumdot:/usr/local/include/opencog$ ls

bryan@quantumdot:/usr/local/include/opencog$

When trying to run the command in the directory where the octool executable is stored, I receive an error.
Any help to get cogprime running on my machine would be greatly appreciated.
