OpenCoarrays Community,

We just published the initial release of Caffeine, a parallel runtime library analogous to OpenCoarrays but written primarily in Fortran in order to lower the barrier to user-community code contributions.  Much like OpenCoarrays, Caffeine's interface is agnostic about the back-end communication library, which is currently GASNet-EX but will likely someday include alternatives such as MPI and OpenSHMEM.  The initial release of Caffeine supports the non-coarray parallel features of Fortran 2018. We developed Caffeine on U.S. Department of Energy funding that supports work on the LLVM/flang compiler so flang is our first target compiler.  Most users will want to wait until a compiler adopts Caffeine before trying it, but it is currently usable in applications for which the collective subroutines cover the application's parallel communication needs.

Best Regards,

Dear Damian,

Great news! However, I have the following git error:

$ git clone https://gitlab.lbl.gov/BerkeleyLab/caffeine
Cloning into 'caffeine'...
fatal: unable to access 'https://gitlab.lbl.gov/BerkeleyLab/caffeine/': SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

Please, could you give some clue in order to fix ?

Regards,
