Note : pending questions about how to converge solutions,
potentially around Platform Cooperativism ?
Yes, such artificial scarcity deprives opportunities, and hence reduces complexity. If I remember properly ( though do not have a reference to it ) , in cybernetics / complexity sciences, a less complex system can not take control over a more complex system. Hence I look forward, and supported such developments conceptually in the last years ( while being dependent for lack of coding skills ) , on using semantic technologies to develop emergent and , ideally, distributed graph databases, which can enable each to contextualise / expand situation awareness , and then build on such layers to generate engagements / contracts.
I see money as metadata ( data created out of data. Credit , aka "M1" , being a debt contract towards a commercial bank ) ,
and hence as we generate a variety of alternative yet contextualized data, it generates a variety of currencies that are directly interdependent via shared contextual data.
People can choose the terms of the contracts , and by being interconnected, generate emergent forms of economics.
People can choose filters to boycott the economic protocols and economic networks that they do not want to support, thanks to a broader understanding of externalities ( thanks to the graph database ) , and through such approach, emergent forms of governance can emerge.
The difficulty I am having, is to explain this, and to build support.
Ideally there would be no dependency on one developer, and Seth would like to not have dependency towards him for such projects.
Ideally a larger community can be generated out of such understanding.
This is what I am hoping with the emergence of Platform Cooperativist Narratives ...
Interesting convergences with Blockchain Technology may also be interesting.

Small additional chapter :
I could share such understanding with Seth, a programmer who I have been able to collaborate with.
Seth and others drafted this document some years back :
And
Seth coded several early prototypes, yet he made some changes which
make it difficult for me to set it up ( although I did at some point run
one of the prototypes on my linux pc )
The
latest version I got to know about was running on top of Telescope,
itself running on top of Meteor ( in case you or others are familiar to
it )
I lost contact with Seth for now, as he sometimes shuts off, then comes back.
