Hi,
I have improved the welcome message. Sharing here to remind everyone
how to report errors or ask for help. Please, read carefully for the
future.
Additionally, when sharing videos you can reduce file size by opening
in ImageJ and saving them with png compression (lossless). You can get
smaller files with jpeg compression, but it is lossy and the problem
could not be totally reproducible (however, from my experience, the
plugin behaves similarly).
Best wishes,
Felipe
Welcome to the OpenCASA mailing group. All members are welcome to collaborate.
If you find any problem or bug, please describe it with all possible
detail (please, read below WELL KNOWN PROBLEM). Provide information on
your configuration:
- Operative system, processor and memory.
- ImageJ or Fiji version.
- OpenCASA version.
- Any error messages.
- Microscope model, type of optics (describe your working objective),
camera model, acquisition software.
- Video size, frame rate, scale (microns/pixel). A complete collection
of your settings, if possible (especially, min/max area, min. track
length, and max. displacement).
You can share a representative video, but try to keep it of minimal
length to reproduce your problem.
Behave kindly and be patient.
WELL-KNOWN PROBLEM:
OpenCASA v. 2 does not work if directly installed on recent versions
of ImageJ/Fiji. This is the "NA error." If you try analyzing, you only
get NA in the results window.
You need to go to
https://wsr.imagej.net/distros/, go to the folder
for your system, and download an older version (early 2020 usually
works). Just unzip one of these, run it, install OpenCASA (do not
forget javaml-0.1.7.jar), and run it. Close it and go back to your
modern version (maybe it is a good idea to reinstall the plugin). You
might check if Java is up to date on your computer. If it's not
working, try switching between zips, including Java or "nojre" (no
Java).
