FlexGet (very powerful and extremely lightweight alternative to SickBeard+CouchPotato):
it needs Python 2.6.x-2.7.x and pip, then it can be installed via pip. Other method would be via github: http://flexget.com/wiki/Install

BTSync:
We already have the BTSync package, but for the Cubox the headless server edition is more interesting. The server version can be found here:
http://www.yeasoft.com/site/projects:btsync-deb:btsync-server or here: http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/18974-debian-and-ubuntu-server-unofficial-packages-for-bittorrent-sync/

I offered to create the packages in this topic: http://www.geexbox.org/forum/topic/easy-installation-of-flexget-and-btsync-server-edition/
But after reading OpenBricks doc and reading some bash scripts I had to conclude I was a bit too enthusiastic. I don't have the developer skills and Linux experience to create the packages. Without a clear step by step guide I will not be able to do this.

I would be able to update/maintain the packages though. Is anyone willing to give it a try?

Thanks! I read the first steps guide. Definitely going to try to copy an existing package and start from there :)

Feeling stupid here. Should I clone it to Windows desktop or install github on my Cubox and clone it via ssh?

Also, the creator of the BTSync Server package said he didnt disable the BTSync GUI since there is none, the Linux package does not have the GUI only the WebUI. His project is also on Github:
 on the GitHub project page

So I guess it should be fairly easy to create this package?

you need a linux desktop ans use tools from linux
git clone ........
so if you don't have one you need to install it at least in a virtualbox
