Error building openbricks from git source

Hi!

I have cloned the git and now I'm trying to build it with the following instructions

$ make clean
$ ./scripts/loadcfg geexbox-xbmc-a10-cubieboard
$ make

But I get this error:

configure: error: in `/tmp/openbricks/build/build.cubieboard.eglibc/patch-2.7.1':
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details
Makefile:51: recipe for target 'rootfs' failed

Hi Carlos,

the log indicates that 'loadcfg' did not do all tasks it should have done.
Did you notice some download errors? Please delete ./build and run:

./scripts/loadcfg geexbox-xbmc-a10-cubieboard

again. Do not do 'make clean' before and watch out for errors during this
phase. Besides a lot of other stuff (it actually build a full gcc) it should
create a script named:

/tmp/openbricks/build/build.cubieboard.eglibc/toolchain/bin/host-gcc

which - according to your log - is missing.

I have tried again after remove the build folder.

./scripts/loadcfg geexbox-xbmc-a10-cubieboard > stdout.txt 2> stderr.txt


make  > stdout.txt 2> stderr.txt


The last error (in Spanish) is
rm: can't be deleted «.install/usr/share/info/dir»: File or folder not exist.
I see a lot of warnings, but I can't identify the error.

this is a different error than before. Is the 'makeinfo' package (texinfo)
installed on you system? What does:

./scripts/checkdeps build

say?

Hi

$ ./scripts/checkdeps build
Creating symlink: /tmp/openbricks -> /media/hdd/Development/openbricks
We are not in /tmp/openbricks, changing directory.

root@antix1:/media/hdd/Development/openbricks# which makeinfo
/usr/bin/makeinfo

My system (antix) is derived from Debian 8 without systemd

Hi,

I have never heard of the system you are using. Can you provide the file

./build/build.cubieboard.eglibc/autoconf-2.69/config.log


Also you can try to edit the last line of ./packages/misc/autoconf/build
by changing it to:

rm -f .install/usr/share/info/dir
