What is the meaning of openbr facial recognition comparison score ?

Hi everyone. I am comparing images and getting the result in the range of 0 - ~23 . But it is not mentioned anywhere what is the meaning of this particular value , I have read the research paper but not able to get anything from it. Kindly help me explain the value. I really need it.
