Hey Ujjwala
Thank you for the question.
Users have always been able to change the logo for each location. But as of 0.7.15 you can now change the logo site-wide in the case you want the logo to be the same for all locations.
NOTE: If you use the site-wide configuration, you can still use the Upload Logo feature to override the site-wide config for a location.
Site-wide Configuration
The site-wide configuration allows users to white label (rebrand) their OpenBoxes instances.
To edit the site-wide configuration, you need to edit your openboxes-config.properties to add a custom label and logo URL for your server. The logo url should point to an image served somewhere on the web. You have countless options for serving the image (e.g. local Apache/Nginx server, file storage service like Amazon S3, or free image hosting service).
1. Edit openboxes-config.properties
2. Restart the server instance
Per Location Configuration
We introduced the location customization feature (background color and logo) to help distinguish between your locations. Some organizations have lots of locations all over the world, so this feature was implemented to add a visual cue to indicate that you were logged into the right location before performing any activities.
- Under the Configuration menu, select Locations
- Search for the location you want to edit
- Click on the Location name (should take you to the Edit Location page)
- Click on the actions menu to the left of the location name in the header
- Select the Upload Logo option
- Choose a new logo
- Click the Upload button
