Pre-built binaries vs Compiled binaries: SPEED

Hi,
     I copied the pre-build binaries supplied on the openBLAS website http://sourceforge.net/projects/openblas/files and am using it with intel i7-2800 processor. Any idea about the speed difference if I compiled the library myself. Is there a significant difference and I should be worried ?

I don't think there is a significant performance gap between pre-built binaries and compiled library by yourself.
