Poging: Rapman met Gen6 deluxe

Hoi mensen,

heb besloten mijn Rapman toch nieuw leven in te blazen.

Heb het een tijd geleden gekocht met na installatie te ontdekken dat het bordje defect was.

Althans alles werkte maar geen usb herkenning. Zowel stick als kabel.

Zelfs met een PIC toolkit getracht de firmware over te zetten ook dat bracht niks.

Heb me er maar bij neer gelegd dat het herstellen van dit defecte bordje te lang ging duren.

Nu ben ik bezig alles over te zetten naar het Gen6 de luxe bordje. Al aardig op weg. Veel

instellingen al gemaakt. Opto endstops.

Hoop alleen dat het bordje de nema 23 motoren aan kan. Had nog niet veel mm verschoven

en de koelertjes werden al vrij heet.

We zullen zien.

Daarnaast heb ik de hoekstukken van de Rapman zelf vervangen voor massieve blokken acryl.

Stijf en solide. In de toekomst ga ik het misschien overzetten naar een frame van aluminium

(tijd moet het wel toelaten :-)  )

Would be great if you could document your conversion somewhere. It seems a lot of folks have swapped ramps in but not much docu.

Hello People,

I 've decided to give back life to my Rapman after a big pause.

Bought it a long time ago and during installation i discovered a fault in the controller board.

It was recognising the USB connection. Means no files or firmware updates.

Manually it was runnung. Even tried to update the pic chip of the controller board. But i couldn't find a good image sofar.

So i  decide to say goodbye to the controller board and give it a go with a Gen 6 deluxe board.

Sofar it is moving in all directions. But still i am strugling around with the opto endstops and the directions it has to move.

So today i am busy the complete the setup but till now not 100%. 

Yesterday i was at the Euromold in Frankfurt. The world fair for tooling, production, design and manufacturing.It had one hall

only filled with latest 3d print technology. So looking at my rapman i am working with a oldtimer.
