Greetings,

We are a large non-for-profit operating in the USA. We are considering the OpenBadges standard for our organization.

We have one security concern, how does the OpenBadges Standard protect badge issuers (like us) from 3^rdparties, whom might issue false/illegitimate badges by spoofing our identity? In other words, couldn’t some party claim to be someone they are not, and begin issuing badges on behalf of a company that they aren’t actually affiliated?

Is there some security mechanism we can implement to protect ourselves from this behavior?
