Does OB v2 spec has a placeholder to set signature?

Hi members, what is the placeholder attribute where the certificate signature must be preserved? Is this signature within the classes prescribed in the specification or outside?

I had raised a github issue here on the same, but no response yet - https://github.com/IMSGlobal/openbadges-validator-core/issues/215

Knocking this group for help!
