Hello.

I would like to self-host Mozilla Bagdgkit Server  and use it at school.

I am trying to incorporate the Badgekit API into Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, but it will not succeed.

So I looked up the thread of this technical group.

With the method introduced here, can you no longer self-host?

Badgekit has been out of maintenance for some time. It was built for a somewhat antiquated version of Node.js and not tested on recent releases of Linux. I'd expect that if you want to get it running, there would be some development work necessary to update many of the dependencies.

The company I work for also offers an open source badge issuing option, Badgr. See https://badgr.org/ for details on how to install. It's not trivially easy to operate, but it has been successfully installed on your version of Ubuntu.

Hello Nate,
I am grateful for your response.
Thank you for telling me badgr's self hosting system.
I will try it.
