I've done some work in OSM before with Potlatch, ID, JOSM and text editorbased (feeding back though JOSM for uploading.

I'm intreasting in finding a simple way to convert the kind of files from http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=2451&pagetype=90&pageid=13465 to your projects collection.

As you might find there are a lot of text co-ordinates that should be proccessable in a semi-automated way with some text tools to give basic sorts of nodal type infomation that OSM uses.  Am I right in thinking that your database is very similar?

Yes you are right. We are actually using exactly the same backend
database as OSM. This way a tool written for OSM would work for our
database too. You can for example use JSOM if you connect it to
http://osm.openaviationmap.org/api

Do you have an example of the textfiles you would like to process. I
have already done quite a lot of processing for making OAM data so
maybe I could code something up.
