Hello,

Please forgive me for joining your group just to send this note. Just
heard Julio on Gov20Radio and figured since we have Matt Esquibel
coming up to join us, perhaps there might be others in your community
this might interest.

This is the second year of an all-volunteer, zero-profit conference/
hackfest at the end of this month focused on one thing: getting people
to take another look at ColdFusion, now that it is Free and Open
Source: http://OpenCFSummit.org

ColdFusion's always had a reputation for being easy to learn, Rapid
Application Development, a good "glue language" in the Enterprise.
But it's also got this reputation for being expensive.

Once we raise awareness of the Open Source CFML engines http://openbluedragon.org
and http://getrailo.org/, of Content Management System like http://muracms.com/
that rival Drupal, of Open Source frameworks and tooling - we really
believe it will become the language of choice for civic hacktivists
everywhere.

So this conference is not only about ColdFusion, there's lots there on
Gov 2.0 with speakers like Matt and Ean Schuessler. Lots on general
Open Source "Citizenship." Lots on jQuery, CouchDB, Cloud Computing,
Git, and yeah, lots of CFML.

So even if you're a PHP, Python or Ruby programmer, or just a Gov 20
enthusiast, I hope you'll consider driving up to Dallas February 24-26
for http://OpenCFSummit.org

...oh and please forward this on to your fellow coders and Gov20
enthusiasts.

Thanks!
