Hello OpenAstronomy Community,

My name is Wasiq Amir, and I am a Data Science student at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). I am writing to introduce myself as I prepare to contribute to the community and potentially participate in GSoC 2026.

I have a strong foundation in the Python scientific ecosystem, including experience with Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Scikit-Learn. I have worked on a few independent projects, but now I would like to engage more in the open source community to get experienced with more sophisticated workflows.

I am particularly interested in projects involving data analysis and visualization. I am currently exploring the repositories of sub-organizations like Astropy and Stingray to identify areas where I can make my first contributions.

I look forward to learning from you all and contributing to the open-source astronomy ecosystem.
