Author profiles update

Hi folks,

A quick update on Author Profiles after's Jason's announcement two weeks ago.

We have implemented fixes that removed some (at least 5M) erroneous name variant mappings that were introduced to OpenAlex author profiles during our recent ORCID integration. 

With these fixes launched and propagated through our system, we're moving back towards allowing users to curate author profiles. In 2025, we'll be building this into the UI experience directly as part of a broader community metadata curation initiative, but for now users can submit curation requests for author profiles using this google form. 

You'll be able to:

• merge author profiles
• change primary display name
• remove works from a profile
• add works to a profile
