Our affiliation matcher just got a huge upgrade!

We've upgraded our affiliation matcher to version 3.0, and it's a big jump: it now gets exactly the right institutions for 89% of affiliation strings, up from 73%!

Huge thanks to the librarians and curators whose corrections showed us where the old matcher went wrong and helped us check the new one. Your corrections still win.

Counts will keep changing, and mostly growing, as we keep improving. That's a good thing.

Already live. If you use the snapshot, reload it in full, because about 54 million works changed institutions.
