Update on author profiles and Claim Profile feature

Hello OpenAlex Community,

We are currently making some pretty wide changes to OpenAlex's author and affiliation data. We also recently introduced a first step in what will soon be a full-fledged system of user-claimed author profile curation. Unfortunately, these two things were getting in each other's way, so we have turned off the Claim Profile functionality for now.

Once the new author data updates have stabilized, we will have more announcements about this, so stay tuned!
