I have the following search term:

I know it is overly complex, redundant terms etc, but this is nothing I can change. So this term it is.
It works in the API, but I do not get it to work in the web interface.
From here, the API call also does not work.
Is there a length limit in the website? What is the problem here?

You are probaly running into the issue of maximum URL-length, see:
Is there a limit to the length of queries in OpenAlex?
– OpenAlex
“Queries in OpenAlex are currently limited to URLs with a total length of 2,048 characters. We're working on a new way of querying the database that is not limited by URL length so stay tuned for that. ”
Your string (URL-version) is 3299 characters

That is correct - thanks. I realised that they increased the API limit, but it seems tat the website limit is still behind.
