Hi All,

Has anyone else noticed inaccurate corresponding author metadata? I know that the is_corresponding field is a work in progress, and I was expecting missing data, but I was surprised by the number of authors misidentified as corresponding.

It seems to be particularly bad for PLOS and journals hosted on Copernicus:

Panta Rhei benchmark dataset: socio-hydrological data of paired events of floods and droughts | OpenAlex

Reverse vaccinology-based identification of a novel surface lipoprotein that is an effective vaccine antigen against bovine infections caused by Pasteurella multocida | OpenAlex

However, it seems to affect multiple publishers:

Halide Heterogeneous Structure Boosting Ionic Diffusion and HighVoltage Stability of Sodium Superionic Conductors | OpenAlex

I have other examples if that’s helpful. May I ask if anyone else has encountered this? And please let me know if I’m misinterpreting.

Thanks!

-Jason
