Hi there, nice to e-meet you. I have started using Enroute Flight Navigation which uses OpenAIP maps. I´m a Private Pilot and I find this very helpful.
Maps for Argentina are great on airspaces but not showing VFRT corridors (not sure if those exists on other countries). This is basically a corridor in aisrspace where you don't go above some altitude (1500 feet e.g.) and you are not forced to make any contact with any controller in the ground. Basic VFR flight. I think it would be useful to add that to these maps. Is there any plan to do so. Otherwise I would be happy to contribute if possible.

Thanks

Hi there

and glad you are here! Thanks in advance for your willingness to contribute. Normally the data is sourced from up-to-date openair files or if they don't exist the official AIP definitions are translated to openair definition blocks. Each block can be used to create a single airspace in openaip. Do you have an openair file or access to the official AIP that ideally should include the definitions of these  VFRT corridors with lateral dimensions?

Cheers,

Stephan

Hi,
I have checked the Argentina AIP for this VFR-routes.
There are quite a lot and they are not defined very straight. I have just created the " SAN FERNANDO VFR SECTOR". Please check if this is correct.
If you create an OpenAir-file Stepan and I would be happy to upload this data.
You can find the definition for the OpenAir file here:  https://github.com/naviter/seeyou_file_formats/blob/main/OpenAir_File_Format_Support.md
A VFR-Sector (or route) should be defined with this header of every airspace:

AC G
AY VFR_SECTOR
AN SAN FERNANDO VFR SECTOR
AH 1000ft AGL
AL GND
.....
