Hi all!

I'm pretty sure, this question is not really related to AIP, but maybe
can someone here help me to solve my problem...

So, every pilot knows the GAFOR. In Germany we have a really detailled
map (see image) with many regions. Austria has just "routes" and Italy
just few regions, but the principle is the same: give weather
information in a quiet compact form.

Now, for an App I'm writing, I'd like to create polylines of these
regions, but I don't know how to do that.

Has someone an idea?

Thanks

Hi Luca,

personnally I would assume that there is some geospatial information out there that defines those regions - never looked into this so I don't know any sources. The information may (should?) exist as a "print-version" or if you are lucky in some geodata format (geojson, shapefiles etc). In both cases, you can transform this information into a geometry representation that your app can process.

Not much help, I know, but maybe it helps a little...

Cheers,

Stephan
