Dear developers of the OpenMeta[Analyst],
I am using your software to perform a meta-analysis for a systematic review that I am writing. I would like to know, please, how do I correctly cite your software in the manuscript for publication. Something like OpenMeta[Analyst] ([version], [company], [city], [country], [year]).
Thank you very much for the amazing software.
Kind regards,
Bruno

Hi Bruno,

You can cite OpenMetaAnalyst as follows:

OpenMetaAnalyst: Wallace, Byron C., Issa J. Dahabreh, Thomas A. Trikalinos, Joseph Lau, Paul Trow, and Christopher H. Schmid. "Closing the Gap between Methodologists and End-Users: R as a Computational Back-End." Journal of Statistical Software 49 (2012): 5."

Note that this information is available from within OpenMetaAnalyst when you run an analysis in the "References" section of the results output screen.

Thanks for using OpenMeta!

George Dietz

I have the same question. What do I put down for " OpenMeta[Analyst] ([version], [company], [city], [country], [year])."
Wallace, Byron is from Tuffs, but OpenMeta is on Brown University website. Who is hosting OpenMeta? Brown? so Providence, RI?

Nelly

Dear Nelly,

Please use the format as described by Mr. Dietz. Is there a particular reason you require the format you outlined?

The preferred citing format is as follows:

Wallace, Byron C., Issa J. Dahabreh, Thomas A. Trikalinos, Joseph Lau, Paul Trow, and Christopher H. Schmid. "Closing the gap between methodologists and end-users: R as a computational back-end." J Stat Softw 49, no. 5 (2012): 1-15.

Sincerely,
Jens
