I have downloaded gcad3d for Linux but it cannot tell what file it
is.
Gzip, Bzip, whatever.
Does anyone know what format the file is supposed to be in?

is a selfextracting binary;
extract with
./gCAD3D-1.14-Linux-x86
gCAD3D-devel-1.14.tar.gz
is g(un)zip ..
