Hello,

I'm writing to share with you the latest information about the AR Standards community http://www.arstandards.org and details regarding the upcoming meeting.

The AR Standards Community not a standards body. This grassroots, informal community initiative keeps information flowing between artists, designers, developers, makers of AR tools, and many international standards development organizations (SDO). We are developing an AR reference model, a glossary of AR terms and AR use cases for use in standardization activities. We maintain a calendar and landscape of relevant standards, and we monitor the activities of SDOs: http://www.perey.com/ARStandards/existing-standards/

The next International AR Standards Community in person meeting will take place July 23 and 24, 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland.
This meeting is supported by Khronos Group http://www.khronos.org and hosted by the International Telecommunications Union http://www.itu.int

Participation in this meeting is open to all but advanced registration is required. See
http://www.perey.com/ARStandards/sixth-ar-standards-community-meeting-registration-form/

Position papers to the community should be submitted according to guidelines. The deadline for abstracts is June 7, 2012.

Position papers and the status updates of all relevant international SDOs will form the basis of the meeting's agenda and discussions.

Additional information about the meeting goals and steps to register/prepare are found on this page:
