I am looking into implementing an embedded OPC UA stack for use with FreeRTOS and STM32Fxx_HAL libraries.
Has anyone tried anything similar?

Hello Roar,
I know that people have used open62541 with the lwIP TCP/IP stack on embedded platforms.
The main library uses only C99 features. Everything OS/POSIX specific is encapsuled in a plugin with a clear interface. The plugins are all in the /plugins folder. Different to the main library, they are under a creative commons license and can be used without having to publish changes.
It would be interesting to hear your experience with porting the library to a FreeRTOS target.
