Can you folks weigh in on this?

I am a teacher at Brewer High and we are starting discussions about moving to 1-to-1 with our 9th graders next year (we currently have a few carts of Macbooks and Dell netbooks running Windows XP).  I was hoping you might be able to give us some advice about the following:

1.  What model of netbooks do you know of that people have had success with?  What screen size seems to work best - 10" or 11"?  How do both students and teachers feel about netbooks vs. MLTI Macbooks?

2.  I have heard good things about the Open 1-to-1 image.  What would you say is the best thing about the operating system/software and what would be the most limiting thing?

We would really appreciate any information and advice that you could give us.
