You can try running sudo apt-get clean. Also, you may need to remove
the swap file. I just remembers that I don't do that in the imager.
The path should be /swapfile. I'll have to fix that in my next
version.

sure...if you ran updates and stuff then you have downloaded a lot of extra files that can be cleaned.  The GUI way (and sometimes the most complete way) is to go to Ubuntu Tweak (System Tools > System Settings) and run the Janitor.  I select everything and clean it all out...makes a big difference.
