I understand your confusion, but those 2 files are simply scripts that use the "real" file which is boot.iso to create the usb stick. Yes....they're old, but they still work. The true usbmaker file is the boot.iso file. In fact, if you are an Ubuntu user...you can use the program Startup Disk Creator (located in Administration) to browse to boot.iso (download it first) and create your usb stick that way. Does the same thing. I'm going to do some testing on the configuration tool today...if it's still broken, I'll see if Brendan can give it a tweak. Sorry. :-(
