Subject: Re: [open-web-discuss] Re: [OWF Drafting] News about Project
Harmony
Ok, good to know.
Given that — what does collaboration or awareness bring?
[LR: ] Perhaps they will see the wisdom of our patent grant, soon to emerge from the OWF drafting committee, that may be applicable to software contributions as much (or more) than for standards specifications. Certainly they will consider our copyright licensing model in their own CLA, but there are many copyright alternatives, including the Apache CLA, that they need to consider first. Project Harmony is just starting.
Will they be using the output of this group in their efforts?
[LR: ] They better! :-) I am working with them as are several others of us in OWF and Apache and FSF. Simon is there too. We're being vocal and helpful in both the Boston and European contingents of Project Harmony.
Is there anyone else from OWF who has started to participate in Project Harmony? Please announce yourselves.
