DeWitt and Eran and rest of board,
> FWIW, I had exactly the same question/reaction that Eran did.
And so did David Rudin when he wrote to me about it two days ago, and so did I as I realized what I was doing by "managing" the new Google group. I don't object to the slap on the wrists. Only to the tone of Eran's email. David handled my mistake by simply reminding me of the meaning of the 10-day rule. He didn't see the need to get officious about it. Neither should Eran.
I'm a peer. There is no place for "I expect" language in notes to each other. Please resist that tone in the future..
As for making sure that the drafting subcommittee avoids further discussions on issues for at least 10 days, I intended to do that today before you saw fit to remind me to inform a committee for which I am currently responsible about a rule that we all agreed to. Thank you for your concern. Now can we join David Rudin in a two-week Thanksgiving vacation and wait patiently for self-nominations to arrive and for things to settle into place?
Happy holidays,
/Larry
