Document Signing Functionality

Board – We have received offers from both Docusign and Echosign to provide OWF with free document signing and storage capability for OWF projects.  Using one of these tools, OWF could offer OWF covered projects the ability to have their documents electronically signed, stored, and made available via the OWF website.

 

Is anyone interested in taking the lead in integrating one of these tools into the OWF site?  Could this be a project that we resurrect the Infrastructure Committee for?

That's fantastic — thanks for pushing this forward, David.

What would integration mean here?    Do either of them offer a white-labeled experience?  If so, we could just point signatures.openwebfoundation.org at one of their services and call it a day.

I'm guessing we could do white label, and it would be great if someone could take the lead on this.  Between Echosign and Docusign, I'm not sure I have a particular preference.  That said, Docusign has  been extremely proactive and is also (I believe) working with OpenID to do the same for them.

Any volunteers?  I'd be happy to connect you with Docusign or Echosign and they can set us up with a free developer account.

How quickly do we need to get this up? 

I'll take the ball on this - though I've not done any work on the owf site, and have no handson exp with either docusign or echosign (though i do have at least one contact at docusign).

Thanks Gabe.  No real rush, but it would be nice to have it in place for whenever Activity Streams is going to execute the agreements.  I'm not sure where they stand on that right now, though.  

I'll connect you to Mike at Docusign to see if we can get the ball rolling.  I'll also provide you with admin rights to the OWF site, which is running on Google Sites.
