with a quotation from 1837:
French: Enfin, notre hidalgo sacharna tellement sa lecture,
que ses nuits se passaient en lisant du soir au matin, et ses
jours, du matin au soir.
English: Finally, our hidalgo attached himself so much to his reading
that his nights were spent reading from evening to moring, and his
days, from morning to evening.
It's farily easy to extract all such pairs of sentences.
Could that be useful input to open-tran? It would indeed go
outside of the terminology used in free software menus.

If you search something in open-tran you already can see the original
strings by pressing in the desired result. Or are you talking about
another type of examples?
Bye,
Leandro Regueiro
I'm talking about adding these example sentences to the
database in open-tran, to provide more words and more
translations. For example, the verb acharner, its form
acharna, the word tellement, give very few hits today.
I cannot add any more sources to the database due to hardware
restrictions (10GB HDD) and performance problems - open-tran runs on a
single machine and it just doesn't scale with more data.
